LIPSTEREO who hails from Melbourne, Australia, continues their post punk revival streak with their latest song, ‘Rabbit Hole’ released Thursday 30th November on all the regular DSPs. Recorded with Australian music producer Mark Opitz AM (INXS, The Angels, The Vanns) earlier this year, it’s the second track released from their forthcoming third EP, ‘Modern Mythology Part 2’.
‘Rabbit Hole’ is a two-and-a-half-minute melodic tour de force with the band so tight and in sync as Lipstereo singer Sam Stranges asserts, “I’ve fallen into the rabbit hole, don’t wanna get out anymore”. LIPSTEREO has been performing this song at recent live shows with crowds relishing the anthemic vocal crescendo which they partake in two thirds of the way through the song, making it an audience favourite.
‘Rabbit Hole’ was recorded at Wick Studios in Melbourne, produced by Mark Opitz AM and engineered by Cameron Hull and Colin Wynne. It was mixed at Thirty Mill Studios in Melbourne by Colin Wynne.
LIPSTEREO has taken social media by storm in recent months with several posts each viewed in the millions. The band posted several TikTok videos which went viral and were even written up about in NME earlier this year.
A recent LIPSTEREO Instagram post featuring their previous single, ‘Let Me Tell You Now’ clocked over 1.2 million views within a week. The hilarious comments on the post saw LIPSTEREO fans passionately engaging with other fans and internet trolls about their favourite music.
